UNESEF Conducts an annual report highlighting leadership in education around the world. In collaboration with Rooftop Creative agency I was able to capture some portraits of Leupp Elementary School’s principle, Ryan Chee. We spent the day following Mr. Chee around documenting his day as principle and his daily tasks.
Under Mr. Chee’s leadership, numerous collaborative partnerships have been forged to drive educational success, guided by the motto “NO EXCUSES” in tackling challenges. His school is undergoing a remarkable turnaround, serving as a model for others. Leveraging his expertise in Navajo language and culture, Mr. Chee enhances his transformative efforts. He is also pursuing a doctorate in education to expand his impact on Indian education through leadership and consulting roles.
It was a great opportunity to highlight a unique community in here in Arizona with a long cultural history. Check out some more images from this day below:
I had an absolutely incredible experience immersing myself in Mr. Chee’s inspiring journey and spending a full day with him, capturing powerful images to share his remarkable story with a wider audience. His dedication to educational transformation and cultural empowerment left a lasting impact on me. I feel privileged to have played a role in bringing his vision to life through this project. I owe a tremendous thank you to Alex and the entire team at Rooftop for inviting me to contribute to this meaningful endeavor—their support and collaboration made this unforgettable opportunity possible!
